Time lapse adapter?

Hi there,

I am interested in doing time lapses and am a little confused about what would be the best power source for my Nikon D7000. I know i definitely need the EP-5B but I am unsure about the AC Adapter.

Nikon seems to suggest the EH-5A, however, other retailers are suggesting EH-5B or the EH5. Does this mean all three adapters would work? if so...any suggestions on which would be the best one to use?

Any advice would be more than welcome.

Hope you all had a rocking Christmas :)

Hi

Pulled from Nikon USA web

Key Features
The EH-5A is an AC Adapter that can power select Nikon cameras from an AC power source, useful when shooting long sessions.

Specific cameras require the use of the EP05, EP-5a or EP-5B Power Supply Connectors for use. Supply Connectors sold separately.

Can be used world-wide with optional plug adapters.
*Aside from differences in size and weight, the EH-5 and EH-5a are different in the regard that the EH-5 is not in compliance with the State of California's new Appliance Efficiency Regulations. The EH-5a meets these standards.

It would seem (reading this and a quick google) you need the EP-5B for your body and this connects to the EH-5A

Hope this helps...

Thanks Andyred. In your summary though you said "you need the EH-5B for your body". Can I confirm this is just a typo and you meant EP-5B for the body and EH-5A for the power.

The difference between EH-5 and EH-5A is spelled out clearly there, I am curious about the difference between these two and the EH-5B.
