time lapse video with 550d?

Not sure if this is the correct forum but could someone tell me if i can do time-lapse video with my 550d and if so, how do I go about it?

Hi Ciaran.

I don't think it has that function built in. You could pick up a remote like this which should facilitate your requirements.

As above, then you will need to stitch the images together, I use the Slideshow module in Lightroom for this, with a very short duration for the slides.

Virtual Dub is a pretty good, free program for compiling the animation.

I bought one of those to do time-lapse using my old 5D. Its excellent. I set it to take a shot once a minute. You can see the result here. Its not finished, but you'll get the idea.
