Timer/Remote Shutter Release for 450D

Hi folks

I just bought a 450D for some astrophotography. I'm a Nikon boy really but I want to get the 450D modded. I'm looking for a remote of some description to take up to 50-100 subs of 2-5 minutes in length.

There seems to be a lot of choice.

Any recommendations?

The latter two are knock-offs of the Canon original.

I'd seen the wireless one and it intrigued me. Hmmm. Some decent reviews for it too. Losing the hot shoe doesn't bother me either.

I have just received a very similar one from ebay, I had a little play around with it last night to see how well it works and it appears to be fine. So quite a bargain. If I had the money I would have brought the hahnel giga which is a great piece of kit!

You bought a wireless one or a canon copy?

It was a canon copy, branded shoot. For just over £14 with postage from this seller

Seems a bargain. May just wait until payday and get the wireless one. Hmmm decisions, decisions.
