Tiny tiny little bugs

Just noticed a tiny (really tiny) bug wandering accross the inside of my UV filter !!! I have seen them before on other cams but not recently - what are they ? anyone know ? Blew this one away with Giotto but can they get inside the camera and cause a prob?

They're almost certainly Thrips (otherwise known as Thunderbugs). They can be a real pain as they can get into the tightest of spaces. At work we used to have problems at this time of year because they'd crawl into the smoke detectors and set them off. One of the annoying little gits has decided to die between the layers of my laptop's LCD. I'll never get it out and it's really distracting.

One managed to get behind the focus screen of my Dynax 5 a few weeks ago, going around a field I did not expect to suddenly see the outline of an insect in my viewfinder! After failing to blow it out I ended up having to remove the focus screen (which is not user replaceable!) as it was luckily quite straightforward and clean it off.
