Thanks

Sheesh! Well found, thanks Neil. Still a hefty price just so I can keep compatability from work to home (home I use OO)!! :(

Thanks for the link! :)

If you have a student in the family you can have a look at software4students.

It's a little bit more, but still cheaper than just excel, although I'm sure I've seen it around £60 before.

The key-card versions are even cheaper - but I'm not sure whether or not they need the Starter edition to still be installed - and if you can easily get hold of that.

Edit: Cheaper Excel link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_i_1?rh=k%3Amicrosoft+excel+2010%2Ci%3Asoftware&keywords=microsoft+excel+2010&ie=UTF8&qid=1311596896

Last time I tried, Open Office rendered the first .doc file I opened differently to Word. For a WYSIWYG editor, this isn't good ;)

It might be worth enquiring with your employer if they're in the MS Home User Program. I got a copy of Office 2010 Professional for less than £20 through HUP.

Thanks for the replies peeps! Appreciated!!

The mrs may be able to get student editions.

I already have OO but they arent compatible enough. They do very similar things and I like OO alot, but there are some minor differences and I need to ensure everything I see at work looks and operates as it would at home!

:) cheeeeeeers
