Yep.
Personally, I like the saturated colours you get fro using one, especially in the Caribbean
It also helps to keep the exposure under control with the, hopefully, bright light.
And then there's the effect of removing reflections from water...
Slightly jealous , but I've had a few holidays there over the years.

Indeed Pitter that filter springs to life when shooting side onto the sun IMO sure you can make way either side, look forwared to the images

Tony Northrup recently did a video on using a polarizing filter vs PP which was quite interesting.
Yes, there are some occasions where you can't achieve the same shot in PP, but in most cases LR was able to produce the same shot.

I have never used a polarizer. I have used a polariser many times though.

That is interesting about Lightroom being able to reproduce the effect of polarizinig but I'm not surprised. Anyway I haven't had a chance to take that filter out of the bag and am looking forward to it.

They can work wonders, but if you have lots of clear blue sky, you can sometimes end up with dark/light patches in the sky (more so with wide angle lenses). Just rotate the polariser until you're happy with the way the sky looks.

I would be careful in that case, because I've often seen people convinced one will improve their pictures but because they aren't familiar with using it they mess up far more than they improve.Thanks for the spelling correction

I find filter in general are more trouble than they are worth and completely at odds with any kind of spontaneity. Much better shoot RAW and get pretty close to the effect which is supposed to be desirable.
