To tint or not to tint? That is the question.

Hello folks. The same portrait, just with a tint and without. Which works better? I think I prefer the tint, but I kind of like the blue tones of the original image for a harder, colder look.

The sepia tint seems a bit sickly for a portrait in my view. In any case, as a portrait, we need to see the eyes and his are lost in the shadows. Can you bring them out more?

No tint, at least not the sepia. I too agree about the eyes,

Yep, eyes are the most important thing and they are way too dark for this portrait to work. Bring em out or have another go at photographing this fellow.

You don't have to have bright shiny eyes in every portrait. You don't have to see eyes at all.

No tint, or a more subtle one would work better for me in this case.
