Seen a Tokina 28-70mm AT-X ATX f2.8 lens AF for sale and just wondering if they are worth buying ?

Good for low light ?

No idea on that specific lens, but I've got the 17-50mm f2.8 and the 11-16mm f2.8, they're both excellent. I've used both in some pretty dingy bars for gig photos and they fared well!
Built quality is amazing too.. if the price is right, go for it!

Yeah I know sorry, I was just upset as I missed the auction as I was waiting for some info on here first :( but there will be others :D

You could always just have a hunt around Google. :)
 
I have the 28-80mm and I really rate it. I don't use it for low light stuff as I have a 50mm 1.4 for that.

I've just taken a few shots with it and they're in my gallery, exif data is all there.

You will see that it is soft at 2.8 but really sharpens up from 5.6. It's also a bloody heavy bit of kit.

It went for £114 I bid £112 then the last few seconds it went to £114 :bang:

There is a Vivitar Series 1 VMC 35-80mm 2.8 Lens but I cannot find out any ifo about it. Would it autofocus on a D90 ?
 
That was a good price (as long as it was in good condition and IQ was spot on). The cheapest I've seen them go for including P&P is just over £130...

Looking at a Sigma 24-70 f 2.8DG Nikon AF fit Aspherical " EX " lens at the moment trying to find some reviews
