Tokina AT-X 28-80mm f/2.8SD AF PRO

Quite an old lens judging by that reviews but looks good nonetheless. Wonder how it fares against something like the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8?

Where have you seen one? Might be a good alternative for me to look at for my works kit.

I prefer something longer or shorter, and it's a big lump which earlier Pentax dSLRs find a bit of a problem to AF, because they use AA batteries which soon run out of oomph.

It was the first decent AF lens I bought, and I wanted it for parties etc with AF assist from the flash when I was still 100% film. I had no need for AF before then! It cost less than £110 incl P&P, sent from Germany. But that was a while ago. I saw one listed by Mifsuds last year when a friend was wondering what to get for his 40D.
