Nice composition, but my tutor would complain about the predominant chilli as it's wrinkled, like it's slightly past it's best. I've done something similar in the past and he was most insistent about always picking perfect fruit and veg.

I think you've pushed the red's too far, as the green stalks are getting lost and that would have been a nice colour contrast.

I think the light reflections add to the shot, was that direct flash? There's a possibility a diffused light wouldn't have had the same impact but it might be something to consider next time, trying both techniques.
