Just wondering what photography presents people are looking to get?

Myself : A new Wacom tablet and any pennies towards an upgrade in camera in the new year.

(Sorry if theres a thread already... please direct and close this if there is one!)
 
Nothing, everything directly photography is to expensive for me to get it for a present so it's either some cash to out towards new gear or I'm more that happy to receive stuff like decent rechargeable batteries or light painting toys :D
 
Father Christmas is bringing me a 35 mm 1.8 g for my d 3200. I have read very good reviews so I will be a very good boy from now until the big day.

I make a point of buying a tonne of new socks heading into December, and announce that I'm good for all 'woolies' for months. Use yer imagination now family!! Mwuahahaha!
 
I'm hoping someone will buy me Susan Sontag's 'Regarding the pain of others' but my Mum says it's not an appropriate Christmas present.
 
Hope I will be getting a nice shiny copy of Lightroom 5 now that I have foundn the wonders of RAW.
 
When asked what I would like for Christmas, I never mention anything to do with photography. Equipment that I would really like, would be too expensive to expect someone else to shell out for.

If my family want to spend money on me this year, Ill just ask them to either spend it on stuff for my 6 week old Daughter, or give me the cash so that I can pay it in to her savings account.
 
i would like to move away from XP TO A New computer so i can use LR5

I have a new shiny Sony a77 Grip and 2 new batteries for Christmas I know co's I bought them

Not expecting or wanting anything photographic for commercialmas - TBH, I'm happy with my lot at the moment, although getting my driving license back wold be nice! If Santa really existed (although at least St Nicholas actually existed!), he would have a Df in his bag for me but that's most certainly a want rather than a need. I would say that unless you have a specific need or want for a particular piece of kit, just ask for cash towards planned purchases. Asking for that f/1.2 50mm could well end in you getting an f/1.8 nifty to sit next to the one you already have ("But the one you asked for was SO much more expensive than this one - won't this one do?") Jessops vouchers used to be the pressie of choice but I sure as eggs is eggs wouldn't recommend any vouchers now!

Hoping to get NO hangovers, NO indigestion, NO bloated feeling and most of all, NO visit from my sister and her family (apart from her MiL.)

I supply my lids with a long list of URLs to thing I like. That way I don't know what I'll get and they know it's something I want. They can always get me something else of course, but gadget wise it's the safest way.
 
I've asked for a RedSnapper Uno bag.

I'd love a 70-200 2.8 IS MKII and a PreRelease 7D MKII but I can see that happening.

Well if dad wins the lottery it will be a Nikon DF + 85mm, if not it will be mums sausage rolls & mince pies and I'll be damn happy with just them.
