Sorry about the poor quality but I saw this flying fairly high over the coast near the airfield at North Coates this afternoon.
It banked out to sea just before Donna Nook.

I thought the RAF didn't fly at weekends? :thinking:



Looks like a Tornado to me - anyone agree?
 
Tell that to the Air Transport fleet, the helicopter boys are doing it too. It's possible that it was doing an air show or PR thing, more likely it was air testing prior to deployment (things like that happen when it is imperative an aircraft is delivered to theatre or an exercise on time).
 
Yes its a Tornado. Probably 41Sqn up from Coningsby. Strange for a Sunday though.

There is a slim chance that its a jet on loan to Warton. If a GR4 project is behind schedule they might fly at a weekend.

ZA447 "REBEL 83"
ZA600 "REBEL 81"

All 3 were up during the day. Catching up on some hours and checking gear.
