Tough / Durable / wipe clean Photo book

Hello

Is collective forum aware of any photo book providers that offers something more durable than the norm - something that could be used as a promotional tool at events held outside, where the weather can't be trusted to co-operate - so there may be rain / drizzle which despite best efforts wouldn't do a conventional photo book much good?

But it's aimed at kids, so I've no idea what the quality's like or how 'professional' it might seem to your potential clients.

You could, obviously go new school and get a serious 'military' case for a laptop or tablet or some sort of 'toughbook'

You could also go 'old school' and get a portfolio of sorts.

When I got married (pre-digital) the wedding photographer had a set of prints in an album ready for the evening do. These were inserted into heavyweight sleeves which were, in turn inserted into the book and secured.

I think it was designed more to be tamper proof and prevent people stealing them, but it also worked as a pretty effective way of stopping beer and/or buffet spoiling the prints.

I can't find any links to the type of thing that we had, but maybe someone else will remember the type of thing.

I'm the photographer for a motor racing championship. They have a hospitality area where drivers can get free self-service hot drinks, that's also where the trophy presentation is given and results sheets can be found. Its not manned, so I wouldn't want to leave a tablet, even if in a military style case chained down somewhere.. Racing drivers have the table manners of small children, so drinks get spilt and not mopped up properly, and thats before bad weather is factored in. Its oven under an awning, but not necessarily totally dry.

A conventional photobook would not survive for long.
A series of conventional photos run through a laminating machine would last longer, but is obvious as to what it is...
