Yes
I really fancy going to watch the 'Tough Guy' event on 27/01/12 at South Perton with a view to getting some decent shots of the event. This would only be for my amusement as I am nowhere near competent enough to even think of using these shots for any financial purpose whatsoever. I can recall that last year there was all sorts of nonsense terms and conditions imposed at the event for anyone taking photos. I cannot find any such terms and conditions this year. Does anyone know if it is permissable simply to turn up and crack on with taking photos without first obtaining prior permission? I would dearly love to go but as it would only be for my own pleasure I don't want to be tied down to handing my memory card over, paying for the privilege (beyond paying to get in) relinquishing all rights to the images etc. In other words does anyone know what is acceptable and what isn't?

Just turn up with your full kit, those "regulations" they put out are an amusing ruse put on by the organisers!

When I went I had no issues, and there were hundreds of others using dslr's!

Anyon would think I was completely gullible! Thanks very much for that. Do you have any advice for attending?

Wear good walking boots and clothes you don't mind getting muddy!! In fact, last year I wish I brought welly boots!

You can get close to the action so beware of mud etc splashing your kit, but don't be tempted to get too close as if you get in the way the organisers might have something to say!

Other than that, Enjoy!
