TP Lake District Meet - March 2016

Cheers all, I was just lucky on the timing with the swan. I'm glad to report no pecking occurred!

Liking the landscape shot with the swan in Tim. I have a similar one from Ullswater to process. Hope you have taken the camera to Japan!

Thank you Dan.

It's amazing what you can get on a smartphone nowadays. The editing is a bit rough as it was done on the mobile lightroom app which has no brush tool.

I have my camera with me but won't have too much opportunity to use it as the area my son lives in is a bit boring and I don't like to do too much as I only get to see him once a year.

The quality of these might not be great as they were done in lightroom the uploaded to Facebook (where they all looked darker than in lightroom), downloaded from there to my phone (which involves probably considerable data loss) and popted from there.

Any tips or comments would be welcome

Hi, Tim, the one with @blondie606 on is a belter and the one from Blan Tarn :) of the group also works well.

Cheers.

Thanks Andy.

I was pleased with them too. The one of Lynne was initially a bit disappointing as I had my 105mm prime on but wanted to get more of the lake in the view. However, a little a bit of cropping and it looks lovely as is. Almost deliberate ☺

The one of everyone at Blea Tarn is an exposure merge as it was too harshly back-lit to get any detail in the sky. But it has turned out well. Did a little bit of local exposure and clarity correction to make the guys pop out a little bit more than the original. Not sure if that is considered cheating or not.

Theres the sharing option then i think its the embed one not sure

Exactly this, but its the "BB Code" you need and you need to enlarge the individual photo to get the link as if you do from the camera roll it'll provide a clickable link only :)

You also can't get the BB code via the app (on android anyway).

Finally got all mine edited and onto flickr, not been on flickr for so long but here are a few of my top ones. I narrowed only 76 photos to 19 worth posting, most were duplicate shots and out of focus.
I think the lost motivation and not being out taking photos affected me.

Cheers i think this one is my favourite of them all, thanks to @Phil-D for letting me use his tripod too :)

You're welcome Rob but if you sell a few copies I want a percentage! :D

I think its my pick of the bunch as well matey, nicely taken and subtle pp'ing (y)

I also like the Rydale Caves lookout Rob, is there any detail left in the shadows? a quick lift would improve it no end :)
