Hmmm there was a thread for tutorial requests but I can't find it at the moment, but wondered if anyone fancied writing one.

I've read a few in mags and things, but think maybe TP has some more talent than some Future Publishing hacks :D

Looking for something describing foreground, mid-ground and background interest, rules of thirds (in landscapes), leading lines and exposure...

Never seen one on here, but a few have touched on it. Not covering all you post about though.
Would make a good tutorial though and perhaps one thats needed?

Hi again.
Found a couple of links to tutorials that you may find usefull.

Here and Here

They seem quite good :D

I just wanted to brush up before I trek out and have my annually enforced non-motorsport photography period - the dark months when I hopelessly try to find something interesting to point my camera at to stop it rusting up :D

Just struck me what you use for a camera!
A sniper rifle!! :cuckoo: :D

Get some excellent shots with it and the bayonet tends to encourage positive crit from those up close and personal :D

not an on-line tutorial but i ordered this from Amazon after reading Ken Rockwells D40 review

""Creative Nature & Outdoor Photography by Brenda Tharp.
What a great book! It is loaded with great work and explains, quite unlike other books, how to make the subtle adjustments needed for real photography. For instance, it shows the subtle effects of an 81C versus 81B filter and why you care. This is why this book is so much better than all the other dull technique books loaded with irrelevant examples of ugly over-manipulation. This book also covers seeing and composition and well, that's why I recommend it out of the thousands of other photo books out there.""

So it will be still life, not wild life your after!!! :D:shrug:

It can be as wild as it likes, running or standing still... :D
