Its a great place to go I love it, luv your shots of the cats, its good being high up over the fence. Were the Rhinos still fighting when you were there?

The Tamrins were my faves here's one of mine

I think I was there a few hours after you, as his su tan has come on nicely lol

Hi Ryland

You got some really great shots. And as much as I adore Tamarins I keep going back to that little hand coming out over that green opening. What a really lovely capture. I just want to see its face.

Your jaguars came out well too. Most of mine are for the bin. Fence in the way all over the place.

Hi Mick

Your lemur shot is my favourite. I love the way they sit almost like they are stuck together like a draught excluder.

You did better than me with your giraffe as well. Mine were all taken from above and just don't look right.

Lovely pics Orion!

I've had a quick go at cloning out the lighter mark on the last photo (Is it a leaf? Or did you want the leaf removed from the bottom left of the pic?).

I'm hoping my dodgy attempt will inspire someone else to do a decent job of it!

I just can't lighten his face, I'm struggling with that bit!

Hi Mark, love your pics, particularly No 8. Any chance you could share the Exif please. Your PP work is ace too. I recall you were advising us on how to lose the wire fence in PS, would be grateful for a recap on that too. :D

Ta very much (y)

oooooo yeh me to please this sounds realy handy. The subject of the fence and pic 7 also reminded me of a complaint I made for my daughter who was upset for this guy.

Have they fixed the fence yet?

Hi Paul, thanks for the comment.:D.

As for the Exif all the data is embeded in all the photos but if you haven't go an exif viewer and to save me typing it all out you can see it here if you click on the thumb nail to open the picture then click more info to the right hand side of the picture. I will post a pp explanation in a minute.

Excellent, thanks for that Mark. Looks to be about the same aperture and speed as mine on many of the pics. So must be down to the PP work then. Waiting patiently for a detailed step by step how to manipulate pics and turn them into a work of art… Que Mark… :D

Sorry for the delay, I have CS4 & Elements 7 but only use CS4 for very heavy processing, all the were shot raw & processed in Elements. The jaguar started out like this:

DSC03290.jpg

Obviously the lack of contrast was caused by the fence wire. So I opened it in camera raw & adjusted as best it would go then opened it in elements, duplicated the background layer & changed the blend mode to softlight then reduced the opacity till it started to look ok. I then stamped visible to create a new layer from the two visible layers below and used the burn tool at about 5% on the shadows & then some minor tweaking with the high light & shadow enhancement tool & a levels layer. after which it was cropped resized & sharpened.

Hope this helps.

That’s a great help Mark, I’ll have a play around using your instructions. Many thanks (y)
