Not sure I have heard the 24-105 described like that before...!
I guess the question for the OP is in what way is the 24-105 not doing what you want? Range, aperture, IQ?

Oh is it considered one of the best pictures from my canon 50d and sigma 18-50 looked just as good my be im not using it enough I had one before which I used on a crop body and sold it *** pics looks no better then my 50m f 1.8

With all due respect there are some fabulous 3rd party offerings with regards to lenses. In saying that if I was changing a lens in that range I would consider the tamron 24-70 VC. Amazing value at the minute from the likes of panamoz

So you have a 18-50mm and a 50mm prime, not using the 24-105 much then, I guess it only offers a longer reach if required but by the sounds of it you don't use it much, maybe because it cross's over you 18-50mm, what about a 50-150mm f2.8 sigma, probably a bit more money than you would get back, or even a 70-200mm f2.8 sigma.
They would be the options I would be looking at.
