Trade Sony A200 for Canon 350D

Hello

I have been offered a Canon 350D for a reasonable price with the kit lens

Now I have a Sony A200 but know 2 people who have the 350D so would be able to lend me lenses etc.

Would it be a good move to get the Canon and Sell the Sony?

Basically what advantages does the Canon have over the Sony

other than that your friends could share lenses, none imo ...

The Canon is a fair bit older, and has a very small screen, in comparison to your A200, it would be awkward to hold, and oyu would loose the AS and Dust reduction. Perhaps try out your friends and see what you think. Mind you, I'm selling my canon lenses good value....lol

as said..the 350D will have no advantage over the A200,and probably the opposite.you would be better off investing in some lens of your own....i hate borrowing other folks stuff,and if you broke it...you would have to replace it!

when i was looking at the a300 (which i chose back then) i looked at the 450d which would be a fairer comparison to features, so don't think the 350d would be better.

the a200 is a good base camera. as above go for some better glass. I can highly recommend the tamron 28-75 f2.8 constant, as i found it a great match with my a300
