Hope you don't mind but I thought the b&w was a bit dark so I lightened it a little and sharpened it. Is it any better?

yeah thats cool i dont like sharpening as im not very confident about it. also my camera has a broken?> pixel so i have to edit it i had to do it in portrait as there was a brand spanking new house stood next to it which sorta ruined it.

If i'm honest my grandparents used to live up Preesall/Knott End way so I used to get off the train as a kid many a time in Poulton when I came to visit during holidays!

Still don't know if it excuses the geekness but I do have a photographic memory :nuts:

I think the colour one has a nice wintery feel that is lost a bit with the mono version (although it does suit the, 'old photo' type, look well), i agree with bumph that they do feel like they are sloping to the left a tad.

I like the BW one think it works well at this time of year, I would agree a little straightening would help.
