Transcendental SD cards.

A friend of mine used a 32gb Transcendental SD card (class 10) which he bought off ebay and used in a gopro hero2.

Some of the files were corrupted and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this same problem with this card manufacturer?
 
Ebay cards are renowned for being fakes - so depends on which seller it was purchased from...
 
Not sure - do you mean Transcend instead of Transcendental? If so, I've had no trouble with them - but I use their CF cards, not SD.
 
I have used Transcend Class 10 SD cards with no problems at all.
 
Generally Transcend are a pretty reasonable brand, but I would never recommend buying a memory card from eBay. There are tons of fakes about so I only buy memory cards from trustworthy retailers.
 
I bought a Transcend 16gb class 10 from amazon and it's ok for stills if u shoot one at a time but no good for continues shooting or for video, when it comes to cards you'll have to get the most expensive and tried and tested ones u can afford. Like a Sandisk extreme class 10 and 30-45mb transferable rate.

You advised him to return his camera rather than try a different memory card? The card is the quickest and easiest option to eliminate first especially as he got the card from eBay and it very possible it's not even genuine.

Yeah but his brand new USB cable was also being temperamental, makes me think dodgy electronics.

I'm borrowing it for a wedding video so best if he exchanges the camera and I use my cards.
