Has anyone any recommendations for a couple both over 70?
Travelling to Italy and also a UK one booked/

Avanti are ok and paid out for a cancellation after bit of a delay when my wife fractured her hip last year.

Thanks both. Went with Saga in the end. might not go yet as jet fuel situation looks to be approaching critical.

We’ve an Italian and UK one booked so far. Likely another European one in the Autumn.
We bought a yearly policy as it covers the 3 week Uk holiday.

My bank account rewards system provides travel insurance automatically, could be worth checking yours? We use our banking app to let them know when we are abroad so that our cards don't get flagged and this also helps confirm things for travel insurance purposes.

Friends had/have that and it was seamless when first, she broke a hip on holiday (paid out for all emergency and stabilization treatments as well as a repatriation hospital flight) the he sadly passed away (covered all the expenses to get him cremated from Crete - NOT a usual procedure there; he was taken to Athens for the cremation then back to Crete by ferry).

IIRC, they were with Lloyds Bank.
