Travel lens

I am toying with the idea of buying a Tamron 18-400mm as a travel lens as weight is an issue for an upcoming holiday.
My kit currently includes a Canon 7D Mkii, Tamron 16-300mm, Canon 100-400mm, and Sigma 10-20mm. I want to take the 10-20mm for landscapes but thinking that the Tamron 18-400 could replace both of the other lenses as a "walkabout " lens.
I guess the quality at 400mm of the Tamron will not be quite as good as the Canon but does anyone have any direct comparative experience that they could share.
I have been relatively happy with the Tamron 16-300 so would hope that the 18-400 has a similar quality (and reasonable price).

How sharp is the Tamron 18-400 @ 400?
I've got a Tamron 100-400 and it's sharp @ 400 between f/8-f/11.
I took a Canon EF 70-300L and a Canon EF-S 10-18 to Turkey last year and of the two, I found that I used the 70-300 a lot more.
I've also previously owned a Canon 100-400L MK1, I find that Canon L lenses tend to be sharp throughout the focal length.
As a walkabout lens I would say your Tamron 16-300 would fine so that and your Sigma 10-200 would do the trick.
I wouldn't buy an 18-400 just for the additional 100mm but then it's your choice not mine

I was thinking of trading in the 16-300 for the 18-400 and not taking the Canon 100-400 but I agree that I need to check out the sharpness before I commit. Thanks for your comments.
