Hi guys,

Got a trip to Barcelona and a honeymoon to Sorrento Italy coming up so I'm after a small camera setup for just this purpose.

I normally shoot with a Canon DSLR and won't be lugging it with me (not an option for Barcelona as carry on luggage only).

I was looking at something with interchangeable lenses and nice and compact. I'm looking at s/h equipment but would like it to be able to shoot RAW format.

Now my budget isn't huge as I'm buying a new DSLR body shortly. May have around £150 to spend which I know isn't massive but I'm not expecting the world either.

Any suggestions?

As you are a Canon user, consider the G12 - it is a superb camera, just a little slow to use in comparison to the SLR in the handling stakes, but quality wise it is certainly good enough for me to use professionally for editorial assignments. Lens is 28mm - 140mm equivalent. For slow moving pictures it is fine - but timing is required for action due to shutter lag. landscapes and scenics that doesn't matter. It shoots RAW and will easily do A2 from the file- but ISO is limited to 400 in practical use, the fact that it has 1600 on the dial is of no consequence, above 400 it is unusable, and I would jib at using above 200 for my work - at 100 or 200 it is very good. Rugged build with a proper, metal chassis. I am sure you can find a good used one, and the specs will be on google somewhere.

Well i just bought a Samsung nx10 with a 18-55 and a 30mm prime for £167. Not much bigger than a g12 but with the same size sensor as your can dslr probably (if its not a full frame).
