That really is nice really shows the stunning quality you can get from 5x4 and to think it would have been down sized to get it on here.

I bet a contact print from that would look good as well.

Could have been tricky with the paler parts of that bark.

I've been looking at carbon transfer printing recently but I'm not sure it's really worth it with 5x4. Needs to be 5x7 or 10x8 really. I like the idea of prints wit subtle texture and relief. Especially with something like this.

I must admit, I've never dipped my toe in the IR water although it's something I'm planning to try this summer. Adox do some very nice IR film, as do Foma and Rollei.

Metering was zone system, not something I normally bother with as I don't have a spot meter yet, but in this case the subject was close enough for me to get some close readings and use it properly!

I like it well done
