Critique Trees in light

I like it , it looks like it would be a very difficult photo to catch often . I would be pleased with it .
 
The slope gives it some dynamism. Maybe tweak the colours a bit to add some harmony?

Have to say I always struggle for a composition that works in woodland settings like these...
 
I can't enlarge it and would like to. As it stands, as a small picture, I see a lot of black and not a lot else. It's like I was hiding in a cave and looking out through a gap in the rocks that obscured the top and bottom of the image. I think it would be better if I could see it much bigger. I'm afraid it doesn't do a lot for me as it is. Sorry.

Landscapes are definitely not my normal area of interest but this caught my eye. For me I'd consider ramping up the contrast to bring out some of the lighter parts better with a curves layer, and it also works well in black and white
