Need help started to do some long exposures I uses a cheap flee bay trigger that was ir it went on top of flash and plunged in, then a separate trigger but this has give up the ghost , was wanting something more substashall ,can one help ,should I go wireless or ir agAin

I prefer a cheap wired intervalometer/timer/release. Less chance of interference or a stray signal during a long exposure (not that I've ever heard of this happening). Most of the ones on Ebay/Amazon appear to be the same model with different badges.
 
Not for Sony, no experience of anything for this make. Check Ebay/Amazon and read posted user reviews.
 
There all the same just don't want to go down same route again without some more research thanks
