Triggers

Hi all, I currently have 6 yongnuo rf-603 triggers that have always preformed as they should.

But just out off interest can anyone help me with the following:

1. To remotely control power, modeling lamp, beeps etc of studio strobes am I right in thinking that the strobe has to be compatible? I mean you couldn't just buy pocketwizards and have this ability on any flash?

I currently have 3 yongnuo flashes and will soon have an interfit ex150 mkiii kit. I'm fairly confident my current triggers will work with both. At the moment I put a trigger in the hotshoe on camera and attach a lead to control the shutter, then one on each flash and have one in my hand to trigger for setup. This works but means I end up with photos of me setting up the lights.

I'd like to be able to put a trigger on each flash, speedlite or strobe, and then just trigger them with the handheld until I'm ready to put that on the camera. I'd also like to be able to isolate each flash and fire them independently without having to turn each one off.... like a zone selector switch?

I've tried looking but don't know if this is possible or even if this post makes sense lol.

Cheers
Lee

Erm, not really.

Yeah that's what I was thinking after the research I did earlier lol. Just wondered if there was something out there I hadn't read about!

Oh well, saved me some pennies :)

Or did you mean it didn't make sense? :-) :-\

Thanks for replying
