Tripod advice. Choice between two

Hello. I have been offered a budget of around £100 for a new tripod for Christmas. After reading a couple of articles I have come up with two options to choose. What I am after is any opinions or experience of the following two. Or any alternatives that I have missed.

1. Slik pro 400DX with SH-705E 3-way head

2. Giottos MTL9351B with MH5011

Thanks for looking

Well if it's any help I still prefer my Slik Pro 700DX legs to my Manfrotto 055XPROB legs.

In what way? Build quality, ease of use etc

Not really sure why if I'm honest. That said It's higher (I'm tall) and heavier with thicker legs. It just feels more sturdy and the leg clips feel more substantial and are good to use with freezing hands.

I currently have a Manfrotto Ball Head on it but have used a few different heads over the years. The 3 way head it comes with is decent although it can always be sold on if you wanted to change it.

Not sure what the best price is but you may just find legs + head for a smidge over £100

Hard to see here but I quite like the split column so you can leave it at home and just keep a little stubby bit in.

and this was the head it came with it which is fine for heavy gear although as I said I just ended up changing for a ball head.
