This was covered a few months ago but I now can't find the post! Basically I did a portrait shoot a few weeks ago, and the more I think about it, the more I'd wished I'd had the camera tethered to my laptop so I could see the shots straight away.

I remember seeing an attachment, a flat plate on an arm sort of thing that you could mount to a tripod to one of the legs I think (not to where the regular head goes) to have your laptop in convenient reach. It was a location shoot, so no handy table was nearby so that wouldn't have been an option either, but this thing I've got in my head would have been ideal!

Thanks for any help!

What about THIS. Could you adapt the top part of the stand? Worth a punt for £17 maybe?

£17 plus the price of my laptop when it goes crashing to the floor due to shoddy workmanship on my part  :D

I'll see how much the dedicated ones are, if they're extortionate (which I have a feeling they might be), I may look into making one. It's so frustrating, I can't remember what they were called or who made them, it was one of the big names, but beyond that I really have no clue :help:

Thanks though

i would be worried about ballance

what i do is carry a foldup tv dinner table its a perfect size for the laptop

i also have a stool

i carry these in the car when i am going out on a shoot

the stool also helps a lot.
