Just got this tripod, with the 804RC2

I need to get a bag for it really, I was going to order the MNMBAG80N, but was told by a photography interested friend that it wouldn't fit with the head on (I should have read the description! :gag:)

Are there any other decent options for this sized tripod and head combo, or should I just go for the Manfrotto bag? Any recommendations

Ta,
Dave.

Think Tank Bazooka seems to be really good...they do them in the standard Bazooka, Big Bazooka or Humungous Bazooka...reasonably priced too IMHO...

Try Jessops... I've got a couple of their tripod bags (I use 'em for lightstands as well as tripods). They range between £10 and £15 if I remember correctly.

Might be worth taking your tripod in and trying it in one first to make sure though. :)

I like the idea of owning something with Bazooka in the title, but they are more expensive than the Manfrotto one :)

Cool - I'll check that out, the website seems to only show up to 70cm , think I might need an 80 going on the size of the manfrotto one - be worth popping in there when I get the chance though, thanks for the suggestion

Ah, I wouldn't suggest using the strap and a backpack to be honest. I managed to get mine for £39 I think. Its a lot for a strap- but its seriously secure carrying my tripod+head which comes to about 3kg.

I was looking for a new bag earlier, i saw on these nice looking ones, i dont know if the head you have will fit but they look comfy and pretty nice for tripod bags, cant find anywhere to actually buy them though.

I have the padded version of the bag and it s huge so I can't see whay it wouldn't fit that combination in.

Thanks for all the replies :)

I did the sensible thing, and went to the local photography shop to my work.

To my surprise... they had my tripod, head and the MBAG80N bag! Tried them out together and it fits like a glove! Negotiated on price with them, and now have the bag :D

Dave.
