Tripod collars for Canon 70-200

Need one of the above for my 70-200 f4, however with the best will in the world I'm not spending the mega bucks demanded by Canon for the genuine article!

Does anyone on here have good experience with one of the many 3rd party options available on amazon/ebay/etc? It's a bit of a minefield, with some reviews suggesting some are made of plastic... Not exactly confidence inspiring.

I.ve been using a cheap ebay one for years, no problems and think iirc it only cost about a tenner

I have one for sale - Not advertised yet.

It was on my Canon 70-200mm F/4 L IS which I sold but the buyer didn't want the lens collar. It's the genuine Canon Ring A II (W) - I can take some pics and work out a sensible price if you are interested.

ive had a couple of generics and been fine , not used them on the intended lens mind...

I've had a cheapie that was a bit rough but kinda okay after I'd worked on it with a file, but was prone to undoing itself. I had another that claimed to be metal but was actually plastic and quite useless.
