Tripod for D80

Which is the best tripod for the Nikon D80 please - bearing in mind that I would like to take it on holiday!:|

that depends on where you want to take it on holiday

but much more important than that is your budget as tripod prices vary greatly.

Don't whatever you do buy the cheapest one - you will regret it sooner rather than later as it won't do what you want (i.e. keep the camera still).

Personally I'd look at getting a triopd where you can choose the legs seperately from the head as it enables an upgrade path in the future.

If you want a model number to look at then the 190XProB with a head of your choice will be suitable for most applications, it doesn't go as tall as some but it is a very stable compact tripod for a reasonable price.
