Tripod help

Hi All. Anybody own the Slik 400dx tripod with the SH-705E head? If so what do you think of it? I would be using it with Nikon D300/70-200f2.8 and battery grip. Have also seen the Red Snapper link that looks promising. Any thoughts please.
