Tripod/Monopod collar on Nikon 200-400 f/4 Slipping

Hi all,

As per the title, mine has started to slip no matter how hard I try and tighten the nut, it's probably me resting on the grip of my camera on the right, forcing it downwards, has anyone had anything similar and, perhaps, have an elegant solution? I was wondering whether a thin piece of sticky back neoprene underneath it would provide some friction.

I had a similar problem and used some of these thick sticky pads fixed to the inside of the ring so your sticky back neoprene idea should work fine
