Tripod Release plate

Some one gave me a Jessops Atlantic Bravo 2 the other day, its just a cheap simple tripod which i was just planning on using it as a back up / low flash stand. But it hasn't got a quick release plate and its smaller than my other tripods. Anyone know where i could get one?

My other thought was to do some serious DIY work on the thing a atempt to attach some kind of cold shoe or flash bracket. any ideas?

You can get quick release clamps and plates to adapt a on QR head to be quick release. That way you could match your existing gear. I use Arca Swiss, others use Manfrotto plates, others Giottos.

Alternatively the screw is almost certainly 1/4" so you could use something like this to adapt it to be a strobe stand http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-interfit-strobies-adjustable-shoe-mount/p1521632
