Tripod screw adapter ?

Hi

Does anyone know where I can get an adapter to increase the size of screw thread on a tripod or what I need to be looking for size wise etc ?

The tripod screw is smaller than I need for the head thats going on it - hope this makes some sense

but....it's sometimes the case that the stud on the tripod is reversible...try to unscrew it and see if it'll go in upside down.
