Tripod straps

I wanted to get opinions on tripod straps.

This weekend, I got to try my new manfrotto tripod with my muffin top bag ... I have to say; very uncomfortable to say the least. The hassle is that the tripod bag is massive so bogs down the strap/muffin top. I got the bag as I wanted a very small bag which carried camera and 2 lenses. The muffin top and tripod bag do not seem to work together regardless of position. I also have a Lowepro Slingshot which is much better, although again, the tripod bag just seems to have 'too much' empty space and just gets in the way.

So, a suggestion a friend has was to look at tripod straps instead as they supposedly clip to the shoulder of the tripod and wrap round the legs.

Anyone used one?

Thanks :)

Optech do one about £18-£20 LINK as the strap is attached around the mount the tripod balances well on the shoulder, comfortable to use.

I also have adapted one to clip onto my 200-400, nice straps.
