I've still got my Redsnapper RS-284 & RSH-12 Ball Head and it's fantastic for the price, but lugging it around all day is not ideal. Just wondering if there is a lighter alternative and if the difference in weight compared to aluminium is that noticeable. Even ball head weighs quite a bit and adds weight to the whole thing.
I am 6,4 as well in height so it would have to be tall and sturdy - all be it use a bag in centre column as weight. Of course I know prices for this goes up, but just looking at various ideas.
I do have it attached to my Flipside 300 bag when hiking, or could getting a better rucksack solve this conundrum? I.e Vertex 200 or other bag?
I am looking to upgrade to full frame so would have to have ability to handle full frame 5d, but I wont be using 300mm lens or above - maximum I'd use is 200mm.
