I know of a few- but are you meaning with the centre column up or down- your post isn't clear? I only know ones where the column is raised to reach max height which greatly reduces stability even in quality tripods.
Budget would help too- your definition of quality may well be different to mine.

Actually I was forgetting about the systematic range- I think something like the Gitzo GT3541 would be perfect at around £600- does depend on the load you're using. Sounds like you really need the height and stability in which case I'd be tempted to get the GT5561 for a bit of future proofing and all that but they are close to a grand.
I just don't think the raised centre column is an option given the decrease in stability.
