have a few long treks ahead and was thinking of ditching my Manfrotto for something lighter. any suggestions or reviews .......was thinking red snapper....

Which manfrotto do you have? And which Redsnapper are you looking at?

For lightweight tripods I'd look at Gitzo, Benro & Feisol, there are plenty of threads on here.

have a bird 144 manfrotto...which i use for video work.....sturdy but heavy, ideal for video
