Tripods...

Sorry for another tripod question, but I have had a search on here and on the net and can't really find any answer or any good reviews

Got £100 to spend on my first tripod, but the catch is, is that in needs to be from Jessops. Well doesn't have to but got vouchers and they can be spent there.

So had a look in the shop and online and these are the few I have picked out.

I'll be honest I know nothing about tripods and don't know what am looking for at all

But want the £100 to include the tripod and a half decent head if that's possible?

I say the Giotto or the manfrotto that can support max load of 5-8kg.

The carbon fibre one is not my thing because of the equipments i use, the max load is 3.5kg which is very low.

It depend what gear you using etc.

The carbon fibre is lighter

Yeah the carbon one seems really cheap

Had a bit more if a look about and looks like the bottom Manfrotto is the one to go for.

Just going to be using it for general use with my D3100 nothing special

Just another point to consider, as well as the maximum weight the tripod can hold, you should consider the maximum height as well. Some of the Manfrotto tripods only extend to around 5 ft, which for me would be too low as I'm slightly over 6 ft. The centre column will extend, but the tripod becomes a little less stable when extended fully. However, either Manfrotto or Giotto's are very well made tripods, that's for sure.
