I'm planning to do macro photography within woodlands this spring and summer and was wondering what tripod would be best for this activity.

Any suggestion would be helpful

If your planning on shooting insects I would think that hand held would be your best bet, as it's easier to focus by just moving back and forth. Cheaper too:). Having said that the Manfrotto 005xprob is a good sturdy tripod.
 
Depending on how close you want to get to subjects a macro rail to sit on top of the tripod may be a good idea. RedSnapper do one and their range of tripods are worth a look too.

Something else that might be worth considering is a tripod where the centre column can me moved at various angles.

What's your opinion on this tripod for a bit of wildlife photography?

For macro I just handhold too - tripods are just too much hassle
 
Get a ringflash instead.
 
Indeed Hoppy - forgot to mention I'm using a twin flash which helps alot.

Also tripod is great for plants, fungus etc and I'd look to one with an adjustable column
