Taking a trip, end of March 2022, up the coast of Norway to Tromso and, hopefully, catching the Northern Lights. What camera gear would you guys pack? (main dslr will be a nikon d7000).. All suggestions gratefully received as it will give me time to source stuff, should I need it..

Tripod and wide angle lens. Be prepared to use high iso (many thousands) and longish (several seconds exposure). Mel

Fast wide angle. Small support (tripod or bean bag - if you're boat based, a tripod will be of limited use and will eat into your baggage.) Warm clothes, including thermal undies (at the expense of a tripod, if necessary!) Extra batteries.

I used my tripod for nearly every shot of the aurora! Most aurora shots were several seconds.
