Without the adapter mounted on the camera (RTS) when you press the camera stop down lever/button does the lever inside the camera move, this would actuate the corresponding lever in the lens when mounted on the camera. Without mounting the lens on teh camera body the adapter should have a lever that goes right through its body that actuates the corresponding lever in the lens, if it does then when you press the lever on the adapter do the blades move inside the lens (they probably will because it works on the other camera), if they do then the lens is fine, you may need to select different aperture values on the lens body to see this working.
Final check, not sure it is valid but without a lens mounted when you press the shutter button on the camera does the aperture actuating lever move? Not sure if that lever will move without a lens mounted, you may need to fool the camera that a lens is mounted, dont suppose you have any macro rings you can mount on the camera body to fool it?
Any pictures of lens mount, camera throat etc?
