Some shots of the trucks and legends taken on the wet qualifying/raceday on 30-10-10. Weather conditions made it interesting in keeping the kit dry and that the panning shots taken from inside of Druids, so therefore facing in to the sun, so not ideal.

C&C welcome, as always need to learn

Think you've done a good job with these,#3 looks almost tilt shift but I must be comparing them to the trucks  :D

#3 was taken at 1/25 @ F16, which I think is my slowest pan to date that has actually worked. Quite like the effect. Now, tilt and shift lens for motorsport, thats got me thinking

Does no 3 need cropping to a letterbox type ratio to get rid of the barrier at the bottom maybe. Not sure if that sort of thing is frowned upon ?. I do like that shot though.

How did you get 6 - did you have a media pass or shoot through the barrier or something if not. Can't think how you got that angle on that bend.

No. 3 was taken at 24mm and I wanted to get a sense of scale, thats why the barrier is at the bottom. Tried to crop it, but I felt that it lost its impact. But every one has their own opinion.

As for no.6 this was taken through the fence at the top of Druids using a 300mm lens, kneeling on the ground to get as low ( and also as muddy) as possibl.

Even if you have a Media pass they won't let you onto the circuit when the trucks are out and this is why.

Nice set (y)
It was a good day.
No6 just to reinforce the "Motor sport can be dangerous" notices.
I got a shot of one parking in the gravel at Clearways in that case there was enough gravel and no damage done.

You have some great shots here. I was there too - they are coming back to Brands on 26-27 March for those that are interested in coming again.

Fab shots - well done

Nicely done with #1 and #2... its stupidly difficult to capture truck racing with any kind of dynamics in the image. #2 is especially noteworthy.
