Trying out a reflector

Beauty dish with sock with reflector underneath, struggled a little to keep both out of shot. I've put two shots onto one.

Very nice! The results are quite different in the two images. The one on the right has a lot more glow under the chin. Was that the silver side up and the one on the left white?

fwiw .. if you're struggling to keep them out of shot then they're probably in the right place

Thank you, they were both under the same set-up, the reflector was silver side up. The girls are different heights, so not sure if this made the difference? I pasted them together in PS. My post processing may have also made a difference?

I can see them in catchlight in the eyes . . . the photograph on the right is great, you have some light under the chin but have kept the face well lit so it stands out. Very nice style methinks.

But I feel the need to point out it's not 'the same setup' if the subject is in a different place (whether height or otherwise), lighting is always measured as it's distance from the subject.
