Hello!

Im trying to find the work of a certain photographer who's work I really liked. Problem is I dont remember the photographers name, as I last saw examples of his work years ago at college.

He specialised in war photography, and predominantly covered the Vietnam War. I am unsure if he covered any other conflicts from around that period in time, and as far as Im aware he is well known for his work and specialised in it (so not just a normal soldier who happened to have a camera).

The usual searches on google arent coming back with what I am after, or they just keep coming back with links covering the latest Iraq / Afghan war, or images with no mention of the photographer.

As a long shot, does anyone here know the names of any photographers who covered the Vietnam war? Just so I can do some more specific searches online to try to find the one Im after.

Cheers!

Larry Burrows,
Philip Jones-Griffiths,
Don McCullin
Hugh Van Es
Eddie Adams

Thanks for all the suggestions!

It was actually Horst Faas, I happened upon the image I could remember whilst googling examples of the other photographers you have all mentioned. Also found a few more that I remember from college done by Catherine Leroy.

If anyone was curious, this was the image I could remember -

Thank you all very much, its greatly appreciated

Don't forget Don McCullum has an exhibition at the Imperial war museum currently. A very interesting place to spend a day as well.

Horst-Fass,also ran AP in Vietnam, quite an controversial photographer in his time.

Yes, Ive been reading up on his history and he seems to of pushed several other photographers into the limelight whilst working for AP in Vietnam. Namely Nick Ut's "napalm girl".

AP had a controversial, way of making payment to photographer in Vietnam, which could end up with you owing them money.

Have a look up, the Daka stadium incident,in the India / East Pakistan war.
