Trying to find that monopod...

I'm sure I remember seeing here, or on POTN forums, a photograph of a monopod, with small tripod legs built into the bottom of it, in case you needed a little extra stability. It's not something you'd leave your camera on unattended, but it looked like it worked in an emergency, and would offer some decent stabilization. The legs just sort of popped out of the bottom and elevated the monopod into a tripod.

Any ideas as to what it was?

Yes I saw it too, around £80 if I remember but I can't find it either and it was here.

I think you're looking for the Manfrotto 682 monopod... or the Manfrotto 678 folding base if you already have a monopod it will fit.

It seems to have disappeared from the threads - as it was on here... But there is the MN678 legs in the classifieds - I have them attached to my MN680B....

I found it cheaper to do it/buy seperately - but it pays to shop around... Looking at the prices now I'm surprised on how much its all gone up

Ah that's the one, I had a strange feeling it was in the buy and sell.

How did you find it? Worth getting? I can see it being useful under some situations.

TBH I rarely used it. It seemed like a good idea at the time!
