TS-E Dilemma

Hi all
I am in the market for a TS-E lens and can't decide between a 45mm and a 24mm.It would be used for a bit of everything and the 45mm is a lot less than the 24mm,for info it will be used a a 5dMk2 and a 7D.
I have a choice of a used 24mm Mk1 for around £600, a new 45mm from Panamoz for around £850 or a new 24mm from Panamoz for around £1250.
At a long stretch I can afford the new 24mm but I just wonder for general use if a 45mm would be a better option,but 24mm on a 7D gives an FOV of around 40mm-decisions -decisions!
Any thoughts and advice will be much appreciated.

Not used one, but do like this style of lens for landscapes, seen some impressive landscape and architectural images. As for lens reviews, I've always used the reviews on the websites below to make my decision.

Have you consider holding out for the samyang 24mm tse, their primes have all been excellent to date and you'll be manual focus which ever you go for. Could be better value if your not going to use it a lot.

I've got the 24MkII, 45 and 90, Chris. "A bit of everything" isn't a good prompt to give advice. Of the three, the 24mm is obviously the better choice for landscapes. The 45 is a good lens for product type photography and menu (food) type stuff. The 90 is excellent for near macro stuff and also those quirky shallow DoF toytown effects.

I use the Nikon 24mm Tilt/Shift lens all the time to photograph architecture. I can't think of many occasions when I would have wanted the 45mm version. The fact that you also have a cropped body means you can get the equivalent of a 35mm Tilt/Shift lens by using the 24 mm on the 7D.

Something else worth considering is that all the older Nikon 28mm and 35mm Shift lenses which can be had for between £200 and £300 work perfectly on Canon bodies with an addition adapter ring.
